Daily Meditation #436–5/7/2023
Death Meditations —
I II III IV V VI VII VIII IX X XI XII XIII XIV XV XVI XVII XVIII

Don’t be afraid of dying. Be afraid of leaving life unlived.

Why are you afraid of dying?

Do you think it will hurt?
Are you afraid there’s nothing after?
Instead, maybe afraid you’ll go to Hell (or your belief’s version of Hell)?
Are you afraid Heaven may not have your friends?
Are you afraid of dying because you have little ones?
Are you afraid because you have unaccomplished dreams?
Is it because your health is poor and you’ll go out in a bad way?
Do you fear death because it could come any moment?

Whatever your reason to fear dying, it’s absurd.

Death is absolutely, unequivocally one of the silliest things to fear.
It cares not if you’re a king or a pauper, Christian or atheist.

You will die.
Maybe today. Perhaps at 100, surrounded by all your loved ones.
But, it will happen.

Embrace it.

But — as for you reason to fear it.
