Your Opinion is So, So WRONG
Daily Meditation #102–6/4/2022
Seneca, himself, put it aptly when he said “What madness it is to be afraid of disrepute in the judgement of the disreputable!”
So readily do we roll up our sleeves and don our rubber rubber waders, ready to slog into a quagmire with fools over opinions, ready to fight to the metaphorical death with them over things of no consequence which we hold no power over.
Politics.
Religion.
Whether Han or Greedo shot first.
Unless you’re going to utter “Remember! I was right about this!” on your death bed as you breath your last, it never pays to argue nor to suffer fools!
Follow for daily philosophical meditations.
These are distillations from my coming book “YouDaimonia: the Ancient Philosophy of Human Flourishing.”
