Each individual bee being its best self, focusing on its duty as the individual, is how the hive functions best.

“Go vote! Only you can save our country.”
“Rise up and resist!”
“You can change the world — donate your time or money to this cause.”

So readily is the narrative of “Thing X is flawed, and only you can change the world” is foisted upon us.
