Two years and one month ago, I wrote a Daily Meditation “Mythology II — Words of Power.” You can read it here.

The Mythology series has its own DMs, but today I wanted to come back to the idea of the hidden power of words.

As children we are taught to be careful of our words — the can hurt or heal or stick to someone’s mind for the next 50 years.

Here’s something interesting to chew on this week: “magic spells” are words because words are creative and destructive in nature even if the spells are only found in fantasy.

Another interesting thought: In the Bible, God creates the world, light, darkness, animals, man and woman all with His word.

After all — when you drop that F-bomb, call someone an “asshole,” or say “Oh, SHIT” when you’ve forgotten something…
…You call that CURSING!
Because like a curse from a witch or in Harry Potter, these words are CURSES!

Words really are significantly powerful.
And yet, we toss them around fairly flippantly.

Think of it this way.

You get into a really nasty fight with people you love maybe once every two years of so — you know the ones where…
