What You Have — What You Want

A simple message as we enjoy the Christmas Season:

Always remember gratitude — for what you already HAVE. Especially when it’s in light of the myriad things you want (or think you want).

It is incredibly easy for us to think about and to FOCUS ON that which we think we want.

I really want a 1969 GTO Judge.
But I have a modest, medium sized Ford…
And I am very, very grateful for it.

This Christmas, instead of having so much focus on the things you want (and may not end up getting, on Christmas Day or otherwise!), remember to go through that which you do have, today, and to consider it with gratitude.

In closing — the Christmas Season is such a great time of the year to reflect with thanks. We already have a lot in our life. Clean, hot water. Reliable gas and electric. Insulated homes. Cars and trains. Convert some of the time spent fantasizing about wants into time spent considering haves.
