Daily Meditation # 439–5/10/2023

“Lol, damn will you nerds keep it down? There are other nerds up in here getting educated, fool!”

Gone are the Renaissance days where people were knowledgeable and well-read on a wide array of ideas and subjects, purposely seeking to test their synthesis of concepts out.

I would invite you to consider visiting your library and willy-nilly being willing to check out a smorgasbord of different books outside of the fiction genre.

Geopolitics.
Economics.
Society.
History.
Biographies.

Take a shotgun of information to your head.
The caveat I say is this: If you read a chapter and are bored…put it back! Try a different author, but don’t give up on the subject.

There’s a great deal of information waiting to be learned in the world and having a “Renaissance” level grasp of dozens of events of history, peoples, ideas, and subjects does come in handy, as it will add more “spices and seasoning” options to the “cupboard” of your mind and how you perceive existence.

Lastly and possibly most important:
Be willing to study something that flies in the very face of your belief systems.

If your belief is truly solid, you will not only survive it being challenged, but will come out stronger than ever.
