Aurelius watching you go back for that third plate at the buffet. “You don’t even have a vomitorium, bro!”

Aurelius said “Be tolerant of others, but strict with yourself.”

He was correct, in my estimation.

There is little in the world except frustration for those who are intolerant of others, and rage for those who expect others to change behaviors.

When people can’t control their emotions, they seek to control the behaviors of others.

The world is full of people doing what they believe is best for them. For their families. And some few, for the world around them.
Whether they actually are or are not is moot — when we all end up dead, buried, and rotting into bones and worm food, ultimately very little we do is anything, really.

So, ultimately, be tolerant of others. What they do for fun, or eat, or how they speak is very likely not actively thought about — they “Just do it” without consideration.

Some things will rub you the wrong way, but that’s what you can change.

Your perception is your ultimate tool in traversing the world.

When you grow to the stage that you realize all things are ultimately your fault and that you can either be angry with the world, outwardly, or change your perception to the point that you realize nothing means anything until you make it into something, then you are truly free.
