The World, it is a Changin’

Daily Meditation #283–12/2/2022

The world may change.
It may be changing.
It might insist that certain beliefs, or morals, or ethics must also change.

But they don’t have to.
You do not have to change your beliefs.
You do not have to change your morals.
You do not have to change your ethics.

For many of us — religious, for example — there are timeless ways of acting that we live out each day.

While these ways may not be for everyone — and they shouldn’t be for everyone, for that matter — we are free to hold these ways near to us.

All that matters for your beliefs, your morals, or your ethics is that you are consistent at all times.

That you act in a manner consistent with who you aspire to become.
Things like religions — for some of us — assist in these aspirations. They give us a reason to breath. To eat. To rest.
To love.

So, yes…
The world may change.
It may demand you to change.

But be questioning if you should.
