Daily Meditation 1,036–1/5/2025

There was a young man named Henry who was deceived. At 21, his high school sweetheart, Miriam, was found cheating…with his best friend since childhood. Henry, deciding to pop home on lunch hour, found his friend deep inside Miriam in their own bed.

Of course, a tremendous fight ensued. During this fight, it was revealed to him that not only had his friend bedded Miriam nearly every day while Henry worked, but she had been cheating on him since the day they began dating, having slept with some 4 other men, all of whom Henry either knew or went to school with.

Years pass. Henry meets a young woman, Katherine, they get married and promptly have 3 children, get a nice home, and Henry even quite smoking weed and the little drinking he did. Each day, his kiddos scream with glee as he arrives home, they themselves just having arrived by schoolbus.

One day, Henry is helping his youngest with her 4th grade schoolwork when he gets a text from Kath, “im off tmrw. kids get home at 4ish and henry after that. come over at 10 or so 😘”

Mind racing, Henry leaves his daughter and immediately goes to confront Katherine — she is practically cowering on the couch as she realizes what she’s done.
