Someone Ruin Your Day?

You claim someone ruined your day…is your body not yours?
Do you not have dominion over your flesh and mind?
Your heart and head?

Yes! You do.

Your mind and consciousnesses are like a beautiful and ornately appointed home.

You can allow anyone in or force anyone out of it!
Your mother and father, siblings, friends, the grocer who chatted with you about the beets…

You let them into this Home of Mind, this fortress, this bastion…willingly.

As such, the one who calls you foolish or the one who slanders you with offense and hurtful words…

You are willingly opening the door to perceiving their words as ruinous to your day.

You opt to allow them this ruin.
You grant them victory and domination over you.
