Seasons of Plenty — Gratitude

A short DM for today.

We all have “seasons” of life. Just as summer provides warmth, bursting fields of harvest, game to hunt, fruit trees blossoming and more, so too do we have “summers” in life with plenty.

Plenty of money.
Plenty of health.
Plenty of love.
Plenty of stability.

Samely, winter provides us little, except beauty. Beautiful snow, scarce animals, puffed with fur and slowly whittling their fat stores away, and ample nights.

In short — our ancestors would save the surplus from summers to survive winters.

Now, we don’t really need to do that…

But, we should always appreciate our Summers of Life while we are IN those summers.

Be actively grateful for the money, the health, the love and relationships, stability, and our spirituality (however that looks for you).

When we cultivate constant gratitude when times are good, it makes gratitude into a habit — and it is a powerful habit to have for our Winters.

In closing — be grateful when you have much and you will be grateful even when you have little.
