Schadenfreude

Daily Meditation #171–8/12/2022

“Lmao look at this LOSER! Wearing a brown..erm…is it beige? Lol a BEIGE jacket? What a clown! You’ll never become the world’s first person to cross Lithuania on a LEGO bicycle with that fashion taste!” If only roasts were so…delusional.

The world can be a wicked, malevolent place.
People enjoy nothing more than seeing the failures of others — as the success of shows like Jackass or Fail Compilation videos can attest.

Those licking their chops at the failures of others may enjoy the sweet taste, but, like one who would eat honey, they will soon be hungry, again, as malicious and envious feelings are totally devoid — empty calories to the soul.

Take, in turn, the fury, jealous, and schadenfreude that they, your “haters,” love lapping up so greedily and let it become your Zen.

Know peace by converting their desire to see you fail, crashing and burning, into a fuel which allows you to go further than you might have otherwise.

But, most of all, go your furthest and do your best to prove to your past and future self deep inside you, screaming “You will never amount to anything!”
