Daily Meditation 798 – 5/6/2024

Each day, I partake in a wide variety of media, usually on YouTube and Spotify. Recently, I’ve totally wiped my social media from the face of the Earth.

Facebook? Gone.
Reddit? Deleted the 10 year account.
LinkedIn? Lol, you were a waste — gone.

My Twitter and my wife and I’s YouTube food blog are all that’s left.

I’ve been gradually phasing out listening to politics and, instead, mind-imbibing more growth related content. Been on a spirituality, economics (again), and relational kick.

Well, I was listening to a more economically bent YouTube the other day when I saw a comment with myriad replies and hundreds of likes. The jist of it was essentially this (I cleaned up the English):

“Can anyone here please help me? I need to understand how to become so successful that I never have to worry about anything!” This was punctuated with a sad and “100%” emoji, as is de rigueur.

This is the hysterical irony about success:

Success tends to create more worry as you gain more success.

Why is this?

It’s because worry is an artefact of PERCEPTION, not from poverty, health…
