Natural Talent, the Great Illusion
Daily Meditation — 4/21/2022
You see someone driving a Corvette or Lamborghini and grumble “They probably inherited their wealth.”
You hear about Elon Musk’s ventures and moan about luck.
You read about Einstein or Kasparov or Picasso and complain “Why can’t I have been born gifted like them!”
The two main differences between all of these people and you is that, firstly, they probably are not worrying about what others are doing. They’re showing up, putting in the work, and focusing on doing better than they were yesterday.
And secondly, they are mastery focused. They show up each day and continue to master their respective crafts.
They are consistent above all else.
Consistency is where skill hits the parabolic curve!
