What in her history made her want to shave? Dye her hair? Did they have good or bad childhoods? What various events or traumas have molded the manner in which they perceive their worlds, today?

Man, we talk about perception here in the DMs almost every day. Sorry, not sorry!

Perception really is the gateway to a happier life, however. Yes, as we’ve discussed, you cannot change the world — but you can change how you perceive the world, and with it, life a happier life.

Today, let’s talk about a concept I’m formulating. It won’t be flawlessly laid out or fully developed, but bear with me.

It is the concept of metaperception aggregation.

When we disagree with other people, oftentimes it’s a simple Narcissistic problem: we are (obviously) self-interested and, ergo, have a hard time seeing past our own nose, let alone into other people.

Each human has their own history.

Were they adopted?
Abused?
Raped?
Locked in a basement?
Raised with love? Too much love?
Are they foreign-born?
Were their parents together? Divorced? Alcoholics?
Are they alcoholics or addicts?
Did they grow up poor? Rich? What did their parents do?
Do they play video games 12 hours a day — read 12 hours a day?
What sort of culture are they from?
Do they have any intimacy in their lives? Or, are they “incels?” Or, do they sleep around a lot?
How about fitness — do they hit the gym? Or, do they not even get 1000 steps a day?
