Daily Meditation 847–6/25/2024

This morning we awoke to no power.

“Did you turn the ceiling fan off in the night?” I asked. “No, I assume you did…” came my wife’s reply.
“Uhhhh…”

Last night around 1am, we were awoken to an incredible, home-shaking thunderbold. Lightning, thunder, hellacious rain, and ripping wind overtook the Upper Peninsula until nearly 5am this morning.

Leaves and limbs were covering the streets and roads (and an entire tree covered a neighbor’s car. Beyond totaled!)
The basement has a smidge of water.
Things from lawns — ornaments, chairs, flags, trashcans — were thrown all over the neighborhoods.

But we awoke to an outage.

Our plans today?

Well, the sun was scheduled to come out and hit the 80s today!

I’ve got the day off, so we were going to walk at the park, go to the gym, I had a DDA committee meeting at noon, we were going to the lake to swim, maybe make keto pancakes tonight, do mowing and yardwork…

It was going to be a busy, sweaty day!

Without power, however…no shower. No stove.
Shucks.
