Daily Meditation 1,147–4/28/2025
A short DM this morning.
A lot of various things and ideas become popular and then fade away. Sometimes, they come back…and sometimes they just, well, stay dead.
Crop tops. Baggy shirts and pants. Low rise jeans. The hippie movement. Crystals. Tarot cards. Scientific studies. Apple cider vinegar to lose weight. Crash diets of eggs and wine (seriously). Physiques — muscle men or “Chalamet-esque?”
Even certain modern sensibilities or preferences which are currently “trending” may fade back to more historical means. It remains to be seen.
So here’s the meditation:
We should have what I call (and will be writing more about) a “Subconscious Catch.”
And with it, you cultivate a way to “catch” yourself doing something.
So, for example, say there’s a new trend — tucking in your black sweats into white socks while wearing Crocs.
A few celebs and TikTokkers (how do I even spell it) are doing it.
Now a couple of your friends have done it.
It’s all but certain there are tens-of-thousands of others doing it, too.
You see it, your mirror neurons tingle…
