“IDGAF. I’m just gonna die anyways.”
Daily Meditation 1,065–2/3/2025
Everyone knows someone like this.
Smokes a pack a day or more.
Drinks like a fish.
Clocks in/out at the minute and never does more than required.
Eats like shit.
Never touches water.
Are 40ish, but looks 10+ years older looking.
Sick all the time.
When you ask them about life, they have a very “IDGAF” attitude, and generally consider “life dealt me a bum hand, so f*** it.”
“We all gonna die someday, who cares, bro.”
Of course, we understand it’s really their own perception of their life paired with their own decisions which shapes their reality, but hey — many of us cannot cope with responsibility.
But that’s not today’s Meditation.
This person suddenly begins feeling very unwell. No appetite, can’t get enough sleep despite sleeping constantly, and lots of general pain. Sure, it could be the 20 years of decisions…
But the doctor tells them it’s a stage 4 cancer. They’ve got half a year to live.
