Daily Meditation 838–6/16/2024

No exaggeration, hot, clean, instant water is probably my favorite thing in the world. lol

Previous Gratitude Meditation Here.

On Thanksgiving (at least here in The States), who’s been asked at the dinner table “What are you grateful for?” and, feeling put on the spot, your mind goes blank.

Isn’t it fascinating?

We have more to be thankful for than ever before and yet, we cannot come up with even one simple thing for which we can be grateful for.

Gratitude is a mindset shift. It can take a while to develop. And it all begins with now-awareness. As Tolle talks about in “The Power of Now,” living in the now is a cultivated way of living.

And gratitude does not have to be only the big, majestic stuff. In fact, Pareto’s Law applies — a majority of things we should stop every day and say “I’m grateful for ______” should be the “small” stuff.

And there are no small stuffs!

I am grateful for my dozen odd squirrels who come in to eat (and entertain) every day.

I am grateful for the instant and hot and clean water I have on-demand at the turn of a knob.

I am grateful for the fact a magical, glass ball hanging from my ceilings light up my rooms when I flick a switch…and they do it 999 times out of 1,000.
