Gratitude Meditation XIX
Daily Meditation 635–11/23/2023
Each moment of every day offers a cornucopia of things to be grateful for.
Electricity instantly at the flick of a switch with 99.99999999% reliability.
Hot water with a turn of a tap.
Clean water with the turn of a tap…
All the knowledge in the totality of human history.
(Mostly) Free and (somewhat) democratic news and politics.
More wealth and freedom than any of our ancestors available.
There, of course, is so much for us to be thankful for on Thanksgiving — and every day.
But this year, I think the greatest piece of gratitude we should bear in mind — perhaps while we can — is that we live in a relatively peaceful time and most of us reading this are in a war-free place where we are safe.
The Four Horsemen certainly are back on the march — War perhaps more than the rest. Rest well each evening speaking forth gratitude that you are free from the grasping fingers of war and all the cacophony it brings.
Death.
Destruction.
Loss.
Pain.
Fear.
Illness.
