Daily Meditation 967–10/26/2024

Me, this morning, just before writing this.

A short Meditation for y’all today!

If you find yourself in a focused state, one of high intensity, then is the moment to get to work.

Your painting. Creative writing. Journalism. Reading that difficult physics textbook. Yard work.

Whatever you usually find difficult to focus on — generally things you may not necessarily enjoy! — when you feel yourself in a “state of flow,” that’s when we must go, go, go.

“Strike while the iron is hot,” as the expression goes — when a blacksmith would pull a fresh, bright orange-white bar from steel from the forge, he’d immediately tingtingting on it with hammer and tongs. No hesitation to mold it into its desired form, whether it was a shovel or sword or plow.

In closing — learn to notice when you enter states of intensity and focus. When you can catch such feelings in real-time, you can best capitalize on them.
