Edjumakation — Lifelong Learning
Daily Meditation 923–9/10/2024
Here’s the rub, folks — your education doesn’t stop after school. In fact, it cannot stop there. This is stagnation to do so.
None of us (okay, more like 98%) really “love” our jobs. Most of us have the degree or training in it and do it to pay the bills. Some it may even be something we actually enjoy, as well — I am excellent at and thoroughly enjoy the customer service side of my career (and past ones!). But even then, most of us if given a choice wouldn’t do the job for free or at half-wage.
So, do you want your going to work then coming home to be your whole life? You certainly love your spouse and children, but going to work then coming home isn’t what you desire for decades of your life.
Education is something which you continue your entire life.
Maybe it’s learning to lay tile. To do basic electrical work. Maybe your education is Spanish or Czech. Perhaps it’s to do bicycle repair. Or even a formal education — getting back to university for a doctorates.
For most of us, it’ll be some sort of “passion” which we just hobby around with or read about excessively. That’s fine! For me, I’m obsessed with totalitarianism and corruption, so I have a small library on these topics. Maybe even someday I could be an “expert.”
