Easter Snow

Daily Meditation 757–3/25/2024

It’s the 25th of March, nearly Easter, and we just got pounded with about 8 inches of snow here in the UP of Michigan. For a lot of the population, the thought of getting a blizzard in March is preposterous. Although, for the UP, I remember snow once in early June when I was a kiddo!

Well, needless to say, for my wife (from the Czech Republic), getting a winter blasting in late March seems absurd.

All I could do was chuckle and tell her “It comes with the territory!”

This expression could apply for a wide variety of things we groan about.

“There’s no ‘little carts’ at Walmart!”
“Taco Bell effed up my order — I asked for no crispies inside this burrito…”
“My boyfriend doesn’t understand my feelings and why I am hurt.”

These are all instance of “It comes with the territory.”

Walmart’s never having little carts brought in is practically a meme at this point.

Fast food making errors is classic. Let’s see any of us process 100+ particular orders per day and not botch one or two!

Men not “getting” feelings or empathy? Who knew!
