Truth is the very foundation you can choose to construct beneath you, and speaking lies will erode that foundation like acid rain seeping through.

It might not happen overnight.
It might not happen over a month or year.

But one day — maybe decades on — your very dignity and soul will become dissolved by lying.

Just look at mis-establishing your relationship.

What if you’re a “high-spectrum” Narcissist?
You meet a beautiful, attractive partner and discover they really like dogs, but you’re not really a big fan…

You may make up stories, tall tales, about your family dog (which you secretly despised).
You tell them your favorite breeds.
Go with them on walks with them and their dog…

Slowly, surely, that personal taste of yours — and the lie you told them to “win them over” — will be exposed by your very actions…
Your inconsistencies with your behaviors will undermine your words.

So, don’t lie.

People will (eventually) see through them.

If you must lose all your friends, your job, your family — lose everything — that you speak the truth, then you must speak the truth.
