Daily Meditation 883–7/31/2024

Today’s DM is a bit less philosophical in nature and a bit more practical.

YouDaimonia obviously is composed of Four Core Tenets. For those who’ve yet to read these Daily Meditations, they are:

Spiritual Wellness.
Relationship Wellness.
Financial Wellness.
Physical Wellness.

In most cases, many of our ailments — physical and mental, alike — can be addressed via attention to the body with diet and movement. Note I didn’t say “exercise,” but rather “movement.”

Managing a true diet can be challenging for many of us. Eating whatever you like whenever you like is a rule-less mode of living, whereas diets are a rule-rich form. For those who have not dieted, adding in rules can very often be exceptionally difficult.

Keto. Vegan. Vegetarian. Paleo. Wheatbelly. Carnivore.
All of these diets have various rules — and every member within the communities of the diets will have smaller “sects” with separate distinctions.

For example: in carnivore, some people are “lion dieters,” where they literally only eat beef and salt. But there are others who say butter is okay. Or milk. And a few who even still have a spoon of honey…?
