But I Don’t Wanna…
Daily Meditation #138 — 7/10/2022
“I want to be a great writer.”
“Well, do you write much? Read?”
“Eh, not much…”
Then you probably won’t be great. You’ll be mediocre.
“I want to be a great husband.”
“Do you discuss deeply with yourself and your wife your relationship? Your successes and failures?”
“We don’t really talk about that stuff.”
Then it will be harder to be great.
“I want to be the best trader in the market.”
“Okay. Do you read the educational texts? Keep up with the market and sentiment? Spend time at the charts?”
“Not really — I just scroll Telegrams for ideas.”
Then you’ll probably be subpar.
All things you view as worthwhile to pursue will not be easy.
They will require time and effort far beyond your normal responsibilities each day.
Act in a manner consistent with your aspirations or settle, now, for average.
Follow for daily philosophical meditations.
