We’ve all got excuses for why we don’t do certain things.
“I just don’t have time to go to the gym.”
“The gym is for losers and Narcissists.”
“I’m going to be judged for how fat I am at the gym.”
“Nah — she’s way out of my league, I’ve got no chance.”
“She’s probably already got a boyfriend, why bother trying.”
“I’ll just get friend-zoned again. Forget it.”
“The stock market is a damned scam.”
“I hate capitalism — why would I waste my time investing using the stock market?”
“I don’t believe in things like the market or rentals to make money. Just too shady for me.”
Here’s the thing, though. They’re excuses, as mentioned above!
Today at the gym, I saw a guy I know’s been going for years. He’s not jacked, by any means, but for ~40ish he’s decent shape. I suspect he goes for his general health.
He usually shows up 11ish in the morning and does basic lifts like the bench, squat, curls after a short jog on the treadmill or some other cardio machine.
Well, the last few days he’s been still showin’ up, but with an arm in a cast and sling. I…
